April 24, 2020 by Cathy Stucker

Are you feeling overwhelmed these days? You are not alone. Lots of people are. Pandemic stress is real.

If you can, the best thing you can do for your mental and physical health is to take some time to completely disengage. You probably can’t do it for days (or even hours) at a time, but taking just a few minutes as you can during your day to unplug and zone out can make a huge difference in your ability to cope.

October 30, 2014 by Cathy Stucker

Avoiding Negative People

May 29, 2014 by Cathy Stucker

negative-peopleNegative people walk among us, and you will encounter them in your life and your business. You will have to deal with skeptical customers. You will have to face pessimistic team members. You will encounter negative vendors. Learn to spot them a mile away

Negative people are not good at putting up a front or even attempting to. Their negativity and pessimistic natures will quickly bubble up to the surface. Be sensitive to negativity so you don’t end up in a situation where you find yourself knee-deep in a project with a negative person. Your time is precious–you can’t get it back. This is why it is crucial for you to spend time with people who will encourage you, strengthen you, and support you. Every second you spend with someone who is negative is a second wasted. Draw Your Line in the Sand

May 6, 2010 by Cathy Stucker

What would you do if you faced an ethical dilemma? Decide now, before it happens, and you are more likely to follow the correct path.

Someone who was a mentor to me early in my career is in Federal prison right now for taking funds from client accounts and using them to operate his business. Certainly wrong, and you would never do anything like that, right? [Read more…]

Life is like that, too. When an opportunity is presented and you say no, a door closes. Saying yes creates the possibility of great (or at least new!) things happening for you.

Does this mean you should say yes to everything? [Read more…]
