Multiply Marketing Success with a Master Mind

In his classic book, Think and Grow Rich, Napoleon Hill wrote about the power of the Master Mind. Nearly 70 years after the original publication of Think and Grow Rich, the Master Mind concept is still used by many who are working in an organized way toward their goals. These people join together with others to tap into the collective intelligence, experience and creativity offered by a group.

In his classic book, Think and Grow Rich, Napoleon Hill wrote about the power of the Master Mind. He defined the Master Mind as, “Coordination of knowledge and effort, in a spirit of harmony, between two or more people, for the attainment of a definite purpose.”

Nearly 70 years after the original publication of Think and Grow Rich, the Master Mind concept is still used by many who are working in an organized way toward their goals. These people join together with others to tap into the collective intelligence, experience and creativity offered by a group.

But the power of a Master Mind group goes beyond the simple exchange of information and ideas. The synergy created by the group helps the members to become greater than they are alone. You can use this concept to advance your marketing and grow your business.

The number of people in your Master Mind group, how often you meet, the agenda you follow and other details are important, but the most important thing is that you take action. Here are some ways to maximize the effectiveness of your Master Mind group:

Decide how you will meet. Will your meetings be in person, over the telephone, online, or will you use a combination of methods?

Choose people with backgrounds and experiences different from yours. Most in-person groups consist of anywhere from three to twelve members, but online groups may be larger.

Determine how often you will meet. Some groups meet once or twice a week to begin, but may settle into less frequent meetings as the group matures.

Create an environment where ideas can flow freely. Encourage members to share without judgment.

Know what you want from your Master Mind, and what you will give. Look for opportunities to help other members of your Master Mind reach their goals.

Have an effective way of capturing ideas. Some groups designate one person to record the ideas generated during a session and distribute the list to everyone.

Encourage members to share their favorite brain foods–-things that teach them, motivate them, excite them, or enlighten them. These might include books, music, movies, articles, quotations, organizations, Web sites, software programs, classes, games, or anything that stimulates the mind.

Joining forces with others enables all of you to achieve more. Sharing your brain power means more ideas, and the support of your Master Mind will help you to implement those ideas and reach your goals.
